¡Ah, la ironía! El "secreto mejor guardado" que me bombardearon con anuncios en Instagram. Pero oye, supongo que incluso los secretos necesitan un buen marketing, ¿no? La verdad es que no es un secreto a voces, como el chiste del abuelo. Logis Le Vernay es como ese restaurante escondido donde la comida es increíble, pero la decoración... bueno, digamos que tiene su encanto (y un poco de moho, si soy honesto).
Mi experiencia fue un poco... accidentada. Llegamos un martes por la tarde, después de un viaje en tren que se retrasó. Ya estaba de mal humor, hambriento como un lobo y con una sed que ni el desierto del Sahara. Para colmo, la recepción estaba en "espera" (literalmente, una grabación en francés que me hizo sentir como si estuviera en un bucle temporal). Pero, ¿sabes qué? Una anécdota: Pedí un vino tinto, y el camarero, un hombre mayor con una sonrisa que te desarma, me aconsejó uno que “combinaría perfectamente con el pato”. No tenía ni idea de vinos, pero le hice caso. ¡Y vaya si tenía razón! La nuestra, como te dije, tenía una vista espectacular. Y, a pesar de su aparente antigüedad, la cama era cómoda. No es el hotel más moderno del mundo, ni el más lujoso. Pero tiene algo especial. Quizás sea la tranquilidad, el silencio, la sensación de estar en medio de la nada... o quizás sea la botella de vino que te dejan en la habitación. (Sí, eso ayuda.)
Eso sí, no esperes comodidades modernas. El wifi era un poco... inconsistente. Y el ascensor parecía querer jubilarse hace tiempo. Así que prepárate para subir escaleras (¡ejercicio gratis!), y para desconectarte del mundo... ¡lo cual puede ser algo muy bueno!

¡Aprende a amar los croissants! Bromas aparte, sí, hay actividades. Aunque, seamos honestos, el encanto principal de Le Vernay es, precisamente, quedarse allí, leer un libro, beber vino y olvidar el mundo. Pero si te aburres... ¡hay opciones!
Hay senderismo por la zona. ¡Prepara las piernas! La región es montañosa. Puedes visitar pueblecitos encantadores (¡no te pierdas el mercado local!), explorar castillos medievales (¡sueño cumplido!) y, por supuesto, catas de vino (¡imprescindible!).
Mi consejo: Planifica, pero no demasiado. Déjate llevar. Perderte por las carreteras secundarias, descubrir pequeños rincones, charlar con los lugareños... La verdadera magia de la zona está en la improvisación. Un día, sin saber por qué, decidimos hacer un picnic en la campiña francesa. Compramos pan, queso y vino. Fue perfecto. Y luego, a la vuelta, nos perdimos... pero terminamos en un bar rural ¡donde aprendimos a jugar a las cartas con los abuelos! (Bueno, yo no aprendí mucho, la verdad... pero lo intenté.)
